O Altcoin is in Talks with PayPal and OpenAI: Could Partner!
According to Bloomberg, Tools for Humanity, the developer of Worldcoin, is looking to partner with PayPal and OpenAI. However, it is unclear how far the partnerships are progressing or what exactly will come out of them. Around 5.1 million Worldcoin users in 120 countries scanned their irises in exchange for the altcoin project’s token WLD.

The team behind iris-scanning crypto project Worldcoin is looking to collaborate with tech and finance heavyweights, Bloomberg reports. Tools for Humanity, the developer of Worldcoin, wants to partner with payments giant PayPal and artificial intelligence firm OpenAI. However, Bloomberg noted that the details of the partnerships are still unclear. He also noted that no concrete plans have emerged yet.
Tools for Humanity has previously partnered with Okta Inc, a cybersecurity firm. With this partnership, the altcoin project aims to provide better Worldcoin authentication services.
Worldcoin started working for World Chain!
Cryptocoin.comThe project is planning to release an Ethereum Layer 2 called World Chain. It is working to implement this in June of this year. The network aims to increase user participation in Worldcoin. Worldcoin highlighted the following points during the announcement:
It will be open to everyone and verified people will receive priority block space over bots and a gas allowance for ordinary transactions. The network will be deeply integrated with the Worldcoin protocol to accelerate growth and leverage World ID’s Proof of Personality. It will also be secured by Ethereum as L2 and designed for scalability with the Superchain ecosystem.
The altcoin project is in trouble with many countries!
However, Worldcoin is not welcome globally. Spain, Portugal and Kenya have taken steps to prevent Worldcoin from scanning the irises of their citizens. Still, Worldcoin’s website states that some 5.1 million registrations have been made in 120 countries and more than 2,000 orbs have been produced.
Sam Altman, president and co-founder of Tools for Humanity, is also co-chair of OpenAI, developer of the popular generative AI ChatGPT. Tools for Humanity has not yet commented on Bloomberg’s report in terms of acceptance or rejection.
WLD price performance
Worldcoin scans a person’s irises with a sphere to create a catalog of digital identities. In return, it gives users WLD, the native token of the altcoin project. WLD has seen a price drop of 4.3% in the past day. At the time of writing, the token traded at $4.88. Currently, WLD has a circulating supply of 195.3 million. Moreover, the altcoin project has a total market capitalization of $951.9 million.
